Product structure

Let's dive into how Products are structured within the Payments & Subscriptions process. They consist of the following key components:

  • Product. The product / service you want to offer.

  • Price. Within each product, you can create different prices (in different currencies), choosing whether the payment is made in a single, cyclical or recurring way. This is important because it's what will enable certain payment methods, or even features like Installments (as this feature is only supported by unique prices). You don't need to worry about these technical things though, you can create as many prices as you want for a Product so it fits with you business scenario.

  • Checkout landing. Each price will have its own checkout landing, with a payment link and a specific callback URL (if you set it to be so).

  • Payment gateway. Each checkout landing is linked to our Payments Gateway, which will process the transactions.

This adaptable structure is designed to prioritize customization and flexibility, seamlessly integrating with subscription features to not only boost conversion rates but also expand your ability to offer a wider range of products and services while enhancing versatility and scalability.

How to create a product

  1. In the “Products” section, click on “Create product” and then choose a name and a description (what your customers will see at checkout to identify that product or service). You can also add Metadata. This custom fields are super useful for your integrations. Let's say you need to associate your payment link with a certain product in your e-commerce. With Metadata, you can add the SKU or external ID to the product with just a few clicks.

  2. Once you have successfully created a product, click on “Details” and create a price for your product. You can create all the prices you need, even in multiple currencies.

  3. Next, you'll need to designate the price type. Choose "Unique" for one-time charges, "Cyclic" for a predetermined number of payments, or "Recurrent" for subscription-based payments.

  4. If you choose a "Recurrent" type price, you must set the frequency for the automatic debits. For "cyclic" pricing, indicate the number of payments and their frequency.

  5. Lastly, you'll need to select a payment gateway, provide a brief description for the price, and select the desired currency.

  6. To finalize the setup, click on "create link" to configure the information you'll request from your customers during checkout. Additionally, you can set up a success page (callback URL) to enhance the user experience.

Done! You can preview the checkout landing by clicking on “open link”.

You can also repeat this process as many times as you want to create different prices within each product, in case you want to sell it in many countries or establish more than one subscription option.
